You’re one step closer to smoother, rejuvenated skin. To help you get the most out of your treatment, follow these aftercare instructions carefully.
Congratulations on completing your TOX treatment!
Skip Makeup: Avoid applying makeup or skincare products for at least 12 hours.
Hydrate: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated.
Exercise Facial Muscles: Lightly contract and relax the treated muscles (like frowning and smiling) to help the toxin settle.
Avoid Touching: Refrain from touching or massaging the treated areas for the next 24 hours.
Stay Upright: Remain in an upright position for at least 4 hours post-treatment to prevent the toxin from migrating.

Immediate Post-Treatment Care
After your TOX treatment, it’s essential to take it easy and follow these steps to ensure the best results.
Tylenol:
Take Tylenol if you experience mild discomfort. Avoid ibuprofen or aspirin, as they may increase bruising.
Antihistamine:
Consider taking an antihistamine, like Zyrtec, if you experience mild swelling. It can help reduce inflammation.
MEDICATIONS
For the next 3 days, take the following medications to reduce swelling and speed up recovery:
Note: Your provider may prescribe prednisone if you're prone to significant swelling post procedure. Take as directed.
AVOID
Exercise:
Avoid vigorous exercise and any activity that raises your core temperature for 24 hours.
Heat Exposure:
Steer clear of hot showers, saunas, and hot tubs for 24 hours.
Alcohol Consumption:
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours, as it can increase bruising and swelling.
For the next 3 days, stay away from:
Sun Protection: Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily, and avoid direct sun exposure.
Avoid Exfoliation: Hold off on any exfoliating treatments or products for at least a week.
Moisturize: Apply a gentle, hydrating moisturizer twice daily to maintain skin hydration.
Gentle Cleansing: Use a mild cleanser to wash your face without applying too much pressure.

With proper aftercare, you can enjoy the effects of your treatment for up to 3-4 months, keeping your skin looking its best at all times. Consistent Botox appointments even prove to require less units over time!
We recommend booking your next Botox/Jeuveau treatment while still at the office. Most of our patients are treated every 3-4 months to maintain optimal, natural-looking results!
When can I book my next appointment?
Yes, mild swelling or bruising is common and should resolve within a few days. Ice can help reduce swelling (as its usually due to a bruise under the skin). Bruising goes away quickly, but if you experience a "bad" or distressing bruise, come in for a complimentary bruise treatment! Simply call the office to get in.
Is it normal to experience mild swelling or bruising?
Wait at least 3 hours before applying any makeup to minimize the risk of irritation.
Can I reapply makeup after my treatment?
You may start seeing improvements in 3-5 days, with full results visible at around 2 weeks. Don't worry if some areas take longer than others. Everything comes together at the end! :)
