Faces in Bloom offers three different intramuscular vitamin injections; Vitamin B12, D3, and B-Complex. When injected intramuscularly (into the muscle), the vitamin is ready for the body to use at full efficacy, immediately.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
The greatest benefit of intramuscular injections is that the body has the ability to absorb 100% of the vitamin injected... and immediately!
When vitamins are ingested orally, such as your daily multivitamin or fish oil, the body has to process and break down their contents through the digestive system. Common knowledge, right? Well, this results in only 15-20% of the full nutrient absorption! If you knew that you could obtain the full 100% benefit of a vitamin by receiving it in a different way, wouldn't you?
Depending on the description of your symptoms, the provider will determine whether you are a candidate for a vitamin B12, D3, or B-Complex injection. It is also possible to receive a combination of them.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR APPOINTMENT:
Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D3 shots are quick and easy. At your appointment, your provider will do a brief overview of your medical history to ensure that you are a good candidate for treatment. Your injection site will be cleaned with alcohol and your shot will be administered. Little to no discomfort is expected.
HOW MUCH DOWNTIME SHOULD YOU PLAN FOR?
There is zero down time for this quick, in-office procedure.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR TREATMENT:
Majority of our IM Vitamin injections are delivered through the deltoid muscle of the arm. If possible, please wear a t-shirt or article of clothing that allows for easy access to the upper arm.
WHEN WILL YOU SEE RESULTS?
Most patients begin to feel the results of their vitamin injections the same day (some in as few as an hour!) For others who severely deficient, it may take several months of repeated injections to reach optimal B12 and D3 levels.

Are appointments required for IM vitamin injections?
Generally, yes. Unless added onto an existing appointment, vitamin injections are typically stand alone appointments. If you are needing to get in same day, we do offer drop-ins but please call our office to ensure provider availability.
Can I add a B12 or D3 shot to an existing appointment?
Absolutely, yes!
Does the injection hurt?
Not at all. We use a much smaller needle than what you get in your yearly flu shot.
