What IS
IV INFUSION THERAPY?
IV infusion therapy, also known as intravenous therapy, is a medical treatment that involves the administration of fluids, medications, nutrients, or blood products directly into the bloodstream through a vein. The term "intravenous" refers to the method of delivering these substances directly into the circulatory system.
IV infusion therapy is typically administered through an intravenous catheter, which is a thin, flexible tube inserted into a vein, usually in the arm, hand, or sometimes the foot. The catheter is connected to an IV bag or syringe containing the prescribed fluid, medication, or nutrient solution. The IV bag or syringe is hung on a pole or held by gravity or an infusion pump, which allows for precise control of the flow rate.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
IV infusions work by delivering fluids, medications or nutrients directly into the bloodstream through an intravenous catheter.
Before starting the IV infusion, a healthcare professional will assess your medical conditions, review the prescribed treatment, and select the appropriate IV fluid or medication. The healthcare professional will locate a suitable vein, usually in the arm or hand, and cleanse the area with an antiseptic solution. They will then insert a thin, flexible tube called an intravenous catheter into the vein. Throughout the infusion, the healthcare professional will closely monitor the patient's vital signs and response to the treatment. This helps ensure the infusion is progressing safely and effectively. Once the prescribed amount of fluid or medication has been administered, the IV infusion is completed. The intravenous catheter is then removed, and pressure is applied to the insertion site to prevent bleeding. In some cases, a bandage may be applied over the site.

You will be roomed in a comfortable lounge chair and your IV infusion will be initiated. You will customize the cocktail of vitamins with your provider! Then, sit back and relax. Your bag of fluids will take approximately 45 minutes to infuse.

Do you have a program for monthly infusions?
Yes! We have a self-care subscription that is very popular, helping our patients to receive consistent, monthly IV infusions at a discounted price. Instead of $200, our self-care members pay just $160 for each infusion they receive. Billed on the first of each month, conveniently schedule your discounted IV appointment online.
What if I just want IV hydration without vitamins?
We've got you! At Faces in Bloom, we offer 500ml and 1000ml (1 liter) IV infusions of normal saline without the vitamins. If you're uneasy about the supplementation of vitamins or you have a health condition that wont allow for it; this may be the option for you! We can customize anything.
Can I come with a friend?
Absolutely! Many of our patients receive IV infusions with their spouse, friends, and co-workers. In fact, IV infusion therapy is a great social event or start to an evening out. Simply book the appointments one after the other online or call the office and we can help! We have beverages and snacks ready.
