Post-Treatment Care

You may notice your pigment spots darkening, followed by fading and flaking off over the next five days.

Your sunspots and uneven pigmentation will fade, pores will become less noticeable, and your skin will start to smooth out.

What to get excited about!

Following your BBL treatment, you’ll notice a significant improvement in the clarity and brightness of your skin. Sunspots, age spots, and uneven pigmentation will gradually fade, leaving you with a more even, radiant complexion.

As your skin heals, the BBL treatment will work to minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines, giving you a smoother, more youthful texture. This is perfect for achieving that soft, glowing skin you’ve always wanted.

One of the best things about BBL is its ability to deliver long-lasting results. With proper care, the improvements in your skin tone and texture can last for months, helping you maintain that youthful, rejuvenated look well into the future.

You can usually resume your normal skincare routine, including active ingredients like retinol or exfoliants, about 5-7 days after your BBL treatment. Be sure your skin has fully healed and consult with your provider if you have any concerns before reintroducing certain products.

When can I resume my normal skincare routine after a BBL treatment?

Yes, it is normal to experience facial swelling after a BBL, especially in more sensitive areas like under the eyes. The light energy used in BBL stimulates the skin, and swelling is a common part of the healing process. This swelling typically peaks within the first 48 hours and should gradually subside over the next few days. You can help reduce swelling by applying cold compresses, keeping your head elevated, and staying hydrated. If the swelling persists beyond a few days or becomes severe, contact us for assistance!

Is it normal for my FACE TO SWELL? I'M EXPERIENCING SIGNIFICANT SWELLING, MOSTLY UNDER MY EYES.

Immediately after your BBL treatment, your skin may feel like it has a mild sunburn. Use a gentle cleanser, apply a cool compress if needed, and moisturize regularly. Sleep with your head elevated to reduce swelling, and always wear sunscreen when outdoors to protect your skin.

How should I care for my skin immediately after the treatment?

After your BBL treatment, it's important to avoid direct sun exposure, hot tubs, saunas, and intense exercise for at least 48 hours. Refrain from using harsh skincare products, and avoid alcohol and spicy foods to reduce the risk of inflammation.
