Post-Treatment Care

In the days following your lip filler treatment, it’s essential to continue caring for your lips:

What to get excited about!

One of the best things about enhancing your lips with dermal filler is that you will see results instantly! Although you will have a few days of downtime (swelling/bruising), your journey to fuller, more defined lips starts the second you leave your appointment!

The days of having large, overfilled lips are over! Well, to be honest, they were never present at Faces in Bloom. We specialize in subtle, natural-looking results that enhance your distinct features. You will love how polished you look after lip filler!

With proper aftercare, your lip filler results can last a long time! We tell all of our patients, "It may take 1-3 syringes to get your lips to your desired shape and fullness over the course of the first year, but maintenance of your dream lips is easy! Plan on lip filler refinement appointments every 12-24 months."

While you’ll notice immediate volume, it may take up to 2 weeks for the swelling to fully subside and for your lips to settle into their final shape.

When will I see the final results?

Yes, but avoid very hot foods and drinks for the first 24 hours to prevent increased swelling.

Can I eat right after my lip filler treatment?

Wait at least 24 hours before applying any lip products to minimize the risk of irritation or infection.

When can I wear lipstick again?

Yes, swelling and bruising are completely normal and usually subside within a few days. Using a cold compress can help reduce swelling and bruises typically just need to play their course.

Is it normal to have swelling and bruising after lip fillers?
